Break Old Habits Easily and Feel Beautiful Everyday
Friday, October 2nd, 2009
It’s easy to re-train the brain. Get rid of old habits and embrace new ones.
1. The first thing is to look in the mirror every morning and find something you like about yourself. It can be as simple as liking the color of your blouse, the shade of lipstick or admiring your skin. You deserve to be complimented everyday. Start by giving yourself one, every single day. You will begin to feel more confident and others will take notice.
2. Next, make a promise to yourself that you will not say one bad word about your looks for an entire day. Not one. Try it as a challenge and see if you can do it. It’s not that easy, but try it and when you get the hang of it go for 2 days and so on. Come on – I dare you. I know you can do it. Soon you will do it automatically and effortlessly.
3. Smile and say “Thank- you”, instead of “No I don’t”, when you receive a compliment, no matter how you feel. Don’t explain or complain about how you look. Embrace and accept the compliment. They obviously see something they admire. Let them enjoy giving.
4. Now, your turn to give back. Be sure to compliment any women you admire in her dress, attitude, or look. This will make her feel good about herself regardless of how she might feel that moment. Watch her light up.You will feel fabulous too.
5. Get out of your comfort zone and try something new today. A new lipstick, a fun color, a bold accessory, a stylish haircut, or updated frames, will add a fresh new look and evoke an exciting feeling. Do it for your self, not for anyone else. And remember to smile, a lot.Feel beautiful everyday. What you put out is what you get back.

What’s Too Sexy for the Office?

Cleavage
If they’re too close to your face they are infinitely distracting.
Not only are the men looking but so are the women and they are not as impressed.
Pair low cut blouses or sweaters with lacy camisoles, fitted tank tops or tee shirts. There’s a fine line between provocative and pornographic.
Belly
Stretch for the ceiling. If your belly shows, don’t wear it. Small or large, it’s tacky.
Legs
Legs are the most powerful and safest way to suggest sexy without over doing it.
The most flattering and appropriate length is somewhere between an inch or two above the knee. If you go shorter, wear a lower heel.
Feet
A sexy pair of high heels make your legs look long and thin. Shoes are a great way to play with color and style. As we approach spring, be sure to have your toes polished (chipped polish looks unkempt) and rid yourself of callused heels.
The sexiest thing you can wear to the office is your brain.
There’s nothing sexier than a confident women who obviously takes care of her self. Charm and beauty gets noticed. A classy smart women radiates strength, gets recognized, and is remembered.

Giving Your Man a Make Over
Friday, October 2nd, 2009
Giving your man a sense of style will help boost his confidence a create a newness for both of you.
Discuss his style and let him know you’d like to be his personal stylist but don’t force it on him, he’s not your doll. If he’s not ready for the challenge, try again in a few months. Most men are creatures of habit so it may take time. If he is ready, start by assessing his wardrobe.
Get rid of anything that doesn’t fit, is torn, faded or stained, or is out of style. Discuss what image he would like to portray, power, comfort, style, or a professional look. Study mens magazines like GQ for fashion trends.
Start from the inside out, redoing his wardrobe slowly by replacing his underwear, undershirts, socks, and handkerchiefs.
Buy a new sports jacket and one new well fitting suit, two crisp white shirts, two print ties, and two mock turtle necks, one in black.
Be sure the suit is tailored well and the pants are not too long or too narrow.
Shoes, belts, and socks (sporty and dressy) should all be good quality.
Although well worn jeans and favorite tees from college will be difficult for him to let go of, replace them in his favorite colors a well as his sneakers (not all white) with fresh new ones. Let him keep his logo caps for week end wear (a small compromise). Update his hair style and glasses. Compliment him often and make him feel special.

Are You Wearing Comfortable Shoes?
Friday, October 2nd, 2009
Synthetics which don’t breathe, cause your feet to blister.
Wear leather, suede, or fabrics uppers.
The toe area should be wide enough through the ball of the foot.
Press a finger into the ball area. The cushioning should have a little give or a heel that is slightly padded.
A pointy shoe with a false front will keep your toes from getting squished.
A wedge style offers more support and will distribute your weight better but could roll your ankle since there is little flexibility.
The heel of a pump should sit directly under the heel for better balance.
The sole should be flexible and bend at the front of the arch with a stiff bottom.

It can be easy to get stuck in a wardrobe rut and only see your wardrobe in one dimension. If you find yourself wearing the same outfits over and over again and you don’t know any other way to mix it up I can help you create a whole new look to your wardrobe with minimal purchases.
If your wardrobe is getting tired or has become a bit outdated, refresh it with a few important pieces to update or perk it up.
Assess your current style and decide on a look you like or are comfortable in, such as traditional, casual, preppy, a chic look, or to just have more fun with fashion. Decide on what you would like to accomplish in expressing your image.
Imitate a look and make it your own by adding your own flair that reflects your personality. Choose what you are most comfortable in changing like your hair, clothing, make up, accessories, etc. Use your signature style to accent your positive features and draw attention away from troubled areas.
What ever you choose, be sure it feels like you and fits into your personality and your lifestyle. You can be stylish, be comfortable, and still be yourself.
Surely, the most important reason to look your best is for yourself. It’s no secret that when you look good on the outside, you more often feel good on the inside. When you take control of your own appearance, you begin to feel more confident and in charge of your life. Imagine what a positive impact this could have on your career, your social life, and yes, even your personal relationships!

The Perfect Eye Wear
Friday, October 2nd, 2009
Your eyes are the windows to the soul and the frames around them should compliment the shape of your face and reflect your personality.
Since glasses can be an obligation, choose an updated
frame that will tend to make you look younger and more stylish.
Choose a good optician and shop for great looking frames. Have fun with a fashion color or a new look and enjoy wearing them as a fashion accessory.
Small frames are suggested for a strong prescription. They won’t distract the work of the lens and will keep the light in.
A frame should not be wider than your head with the center of the lens falling slightly below eye level.
A low set bridge will make a long nose look shorter.
Angular or square shapes will make a round face appear thinner.
A small face will benefit using a rimless frame, even if just at the bottom
